The movies in this unit will help students' understanding of the issues posed with immigration, legal and illegal. Students will also gain insight into the lives of immigrants living in the United States. Along with the vocabulary related to each film, students will review formal and informal commands as well as learn the subjunctive mood. This will allow students to make suggestions to the characters in the different films on how they can improve their difficult situation.
Homework for Thursday: Read the article on Immigration and take some notes to help support your opinion about which group best fits your opinion. You will be sharing your thoughts in class in a group discussion.
